Each bar is 3 OZ (85g) and represents a different endangered animal. When you open the bar, the inside of the outer wrapping goes into detail about the animal and organizations the company supports. A nice read while you savor your treat.

Big corporate chocolate (think nestle & Hershey) that pay little attention to taste, produces over-processed bars with questionable additives, and have been called-out for sourcing from suppliers regularly using child labor. And, while your Snickers may give you a quick fix, it does nothing for the greater good. Sorry, don't mean to sound preachy here... it's just hard to ignore the fact that you can actually read and pronounce all of the ingredients in an EDC bar and they've given 1.4 million dollars to positively impact the Earth's species, habitat, and humanity—in the last 3 years alone. From the company: We are currently using only FairTrade certified cocoa beans from Cote D’Ivoire (the Ivory Coast), West Africa. We source our cocoa from small family owned co-ops in West Africa that simply do not have the resources to afford organic certification. We feel confident that our cocoa is grown sustainably with little to no usage of pesticides. Our other ingredients are also FairTrade certified where the certification is available.
