MATERIALS
Socks are composed of 75% Fairtrade Organic Cotton, 23% Recycled Polyester, 2% Spandex. Conscious Step's entire supply chain is GOTS and Vegan certified. The crops are not treated with herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, and are not genetically modified.
PACKAGING
Tags and boxes are made from recycled materials and is recyclable. The inks used are soy-based as well. Conscious Step is currently in the process of reducing all unnecessary packaging and using the most sustainable options when possible.
SOURCING
Manufactured in India (the largest grower of organic cotton in the world).
Ethical sourcing: No child labor, minimum wage compliance, overtime compensation and freedom of association for workers. Because all humans deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Conscious Step's factory is constantly vetted by independent groups and regularly undergoes social and factory audits from recognized groups such as WRAP and SEDEX. They are certified by OEKO-TEX Certified, Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and Fair Trade International. Their representatives based in India visit regularly, and their U.S. team visits annually.
