We love this part of the job because we get to shine the spotlight on people who make good products and add more good to the world. Each month we ask one of our makers the same 6 questions, and each month we learn something new.
In this month, globally recognized as Earth month thanks to Earth Day, it's fitting that we're featuring Caroline Duell. Behind all this goodness is Caroline Duell – our fearless leader, green thumb guru, and DIY demigod. She can turn a Hells Angels hideout into a community garden. She can fix a tennis elbow with herbs and oils. She knows all the secret rock climbing routes. And you’ll have to take our word on this one, but she smells amazing. She’s also assembled an all-star team in work and life, starting with partner Ryan —All Good’s VP of Sales & Marketing, Dad extraordinaire, and King of the Garden. They built All Good from the soil up and the hype is real, folks — they really are THAT good.
So without further ado... here's our Q & A with Caroline Duell:
What's Good: What does being eco-friendly mean to you?
Caroline: Eco is short for ecological which refers to living organisms and their surroundings. Friendly is another word for kind. So, to me, being eco-friendly means growing awareness for how we can be more kind in our actions as they affect all beings.

What's Good: What’s your biggest climate change fear/concern?
Caroline: My biggest fear around climate change is that we actually let fear about climate change inhibit our ability to gracefully navigate and ultimately reverse it. Fear fuels waste and opposition.

What's Good: If our readers could only do one green thing, what would it be and why?
Caroline: Find your kids or any young people in your life. Take them outside, everyday. Let them walk barefoot and then sit and listen to the sounds around them. That is the one green thing. Why? Being disconnected from the natural world makes us numb to the impacts we have on everything around us. If, instead, we raise a generation of neurologically intact and nature connected children, the world will be in better hands, with empathetic and thoughtful stewards of the earth.

What's Good: What’s the biggest ‘bad habit’ YOU have as it relates to eco/sustainable lifestyle that is a challenge for you?
Caroline: I have a bad habit of judging those closest to me for being apathetic; it’s a challenge because it is limiting. If I were to push myself to understand where people are coming from then I might be able to better support them in having the capacity to care more.

What's Good: What started you on your eco-journey?
Caroline: Since early childhood, I have been lucky enough to spend hours caring for small bugs, watching massive cloud formations, and walking miles on dirt — all giving me reverence for the gift and the responsibility it means to be a citizen of the earth.

What's Good: What is your favorite part/aspect of All Good Products?
