    Handmade Mitten Upcycled Materials

    WARM. COZY. GUILT FREE.
    With so many textiles coming from across the globe, it feels good to know these handmade — under priced — mittens were not only made in the USA, they were lovingly made using bits and pieces of sweaters and other fabrics that had outlived their original purpose. Thereby saving them from a landfill and giving them new with you. 

    Each mitten is a piece of art, soft sculpture if you will. You can see (and feel) the love that went into picking the materials and sewing them to be super comfy and lovely to look at. 

    Every mitten is lined with a soft fleecy interior for added warmth and coziness. These are one size fits all. And yes, only one of each exists. When they're gone, we'll have to wait until next year for Karen to make more. NOTE: We did our best on the photos, the olive green looks grey, the red orange looks red, but it truly has a burnt or orange-ish color detectable only against a true red. The navy looks greyish.     So many of our mittens (and gloves) are made cheaply by machines or worse exploited people in countries with lax, if any, labor laws. They're also made with materials derived from petroleum products. What's more, cheap products don't last. And they certainly don't keep your fingers warm.
