Conventional waxed paper is coated with paraffin wax – a petroleum based product. Carnauba wax is clean, safe, non-toxic, biodegradable, and comes from a renewable and sustainable resource. Plus, it's certified compostable for home and industrial composting
Like all If You Care paper products, our Waxed Paper is totally chlorine-free, so no chlorine or chlorine derivatives are dumped into our lakes, rivers and streams.
How do you use wax paper?
Sandwich or snack wraps. Freezer wraps. For rolling out dough or crust. Line pans for fudge or other non-cook foods you don't want to stick. Dry out wet photos without sticking. Shelf liners. Wrap Cheese. Preserve flowers and leaves... what else?

WHAT DOES IT REPLACE?
Conventional waxed paper is coated with paraffin wax – a petroleum based product — and is produced using virgin wood from uncertified forests and is whitened using chlorine and derivatives.
This also replaces IYC's previous soy-based wax paper product. Here's why the company changed the product: Soybeans are not GM free, this new product is Non-GMO Verified, in addition to all of the other benefits.

PACKAGING
100% recycled paper board processed chlorine free (PCF).
Printed using vegetable based inks and dyes as a substitute for petroleum based inks. This reduces the amount of VOCs released into the air during printing.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
If You Care brand was created in 1990 and started with unbleached coffee filters. If You Care had the first and only unbleached coffee filters in North America at that time. Parchment Baking Paper and Baking Cups soon followed, both unbleached as well. There was no other brand in the North American market offering brown chlorine-free paper products.
If You Care products are produced with a view to reducing the amount of waste in our waste streams. If possible, nothing should remain after the product has been used and properly disposed of. The packaging is made from unbleached recycled cardboard or paper which should be recycled again.
