Jane van Dis, MD, FACOG, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester will present on the prevalence of plastics and the effects that plastics and the chemicals inside them have on our health. This talk will address key scientific findings and offer insight into ways to protect ourselves and our loved ones.
Jennifer Young, founder of What's Good, will discuss her journey to open a socially and environmentally responsible store selling healthy green products along with a snapshot of the alternatives to plastic that are available.
Emma Nelson PhD, Clinical Psychologist will guide a discussion to follow this deeply personal and universal issue.
This is a free, public event co-hosted by Color Fairport Green and the Fairport Public Library.
