BORING (BUT USEFUL) STUFF
These 12 oz cups come in packs of 20 and are suitable for liquids up to 220°F, are freezer safe and compost in 2 to 4 months in a commercial composting facility or longer in home composts. Not microwavable. L 3.5" x W 3.5" x H 4.2"

WHAT DO THEY REPLACE?
Styrofoam cups! Can you believe stores still serve these cups? AND that we as consumers tolerate it? There's not enough time here (watch for blog post) but it's bad stuff: benzene and styrene leach into your foods, it doesn't break down even though it's blown and strewn across the globe and it's highly toxic to make. 

Paper cups with polyethylene linings that won't biodegrade, come from non-renewable sources, and releases methane which a greenhouse gas works than carbon dioxide. 
Note: Disposable paper cups aren't the solution either. The best solution is reusable cups and mugs. For those times when you need an on-the-go solution, we think these cups are the better option. 

MATERIALS
Hot cup is made from sustainably harvested paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®). This certification verifies that a forest is responsibly managed to mitigate the common destructive consequences of logging: habitat destruction, water pollution and displacement of indigenous peoples.

NatureWorks Ingeo™ PLA leak-proof lining: Polylactic Acid (PLA) is a bio-based plastic derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, tapioca roots or sugarcane. To make PLA, sugar from plants is turned into lactic acid through fermentation which is converted into a polymer. At this stage, it is shaped into pellets which can be transformed into a wide variety of products. Manufacturing PLA produces 75% fewer greenhouse gasses and uses 50% less non-renewable energy than traditional polymers like PET & polystyrene.
