Artisans in Cambodia collect and then melt down discarded brass bomb casings, then give to life to the brass by turning it into jewelry‒wearable symbols of hope, progress, and peace. The artisans are part of the Rajana Association, a nonprofit focused on sustaining traditional craft and providing business skills to talented artisans, who transform symbols of war into beautiful jewelry. Rajana encourages artists to draw on their childhood experiences to pass on stories and traditions to future generations.
