Traditional toothpaste that contain all or some of these: titanium dioxide, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate (also called: sodium dodecyl sulfate, monododecyl ester, sodium salt, sulfuric acid, aquarex methyl, akyposal SDS, A13-00356), artificial coloring, abrasive agents, parabens, propylene glycol, saccharin, carrageenan, aspartame, diethanolamine.

Go ahead and look them up. Your mouth absorbs whatever you put in it directly into your bloodstream, so even if you're great about spitting and rinsing, you've added these chemicals into your system. Plus, most traditional toothpastes have loads of packaging that can't be recycled. About 1.5 Billion plastic toothpaste tubes end up in US landfills Each Year and we wanted to do better. INGREDIENTS 
Calcium carbonate (limestone abrasive), vegetable glycerin, purified water, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), xylitol (birch derived), hydrated silica, hydroxyapatite (nano), sodium cocoyl glutamate, carrageenan (seaweed derived), mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, mentha viridis (spearmint) leaf oil, pimpinella anisum (anise) seed extract, gaultheria procumbens (wintergreen) leaf oil, stevia (leaf extract).

PACKAGING
Product box is made from FSC Certified paperboard. 

MATERIALSTube: Davids tubes are made out of recyclable aluminum metal and lined with a Food Grade Non-BPA liner so there is no paste-to-metal contact. This barrier helps prevent any leaching of the tube material into the paste and helps seal in the freshness.

Cap: #2 HDPE

Tube key (roller): Each tube of Davids comes with a metal tube roller (tube key), that is designed to slide on the end of the tube to roll up the metal tube as the toothpaste is being used and to squeeze the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube at the end. 

END OF PRODUCT LIFERecycle the tube: Cut off both ends of the tube, then cut a slit down the full length of the tube and fold it open (be careful of any sharp metal edges). Wash off the excess paste with running water (or brush away with toothbrush). Discard in recycle bin.

Note: It will be up to your local waste management provider to properly sort/recycle. To increase its chances of being sorted properly for recycling, roll up the clean metal so that sharp edges are no longer exposed, and wad up into a 3" ball to place along with other aluminum foil you are recycling, or place inside an aluminum can that you are recycling.

Cap may be recycled where small #2 plastics are accepted, but many curbside programs cannot sort out small plastics. Check with your local facility!

Repurpose or recycle the tube key: 
Key included with each tube of Davids toothpaste is made from mild steel which is a recyclable material. If you use other products that come in a metal tube (medical ointments, lotions, etc.) consider repurposing your tube key by using with other metal tubes you may be using. If you have no further use for the tube key, you can place it in your recycling bin.
