Upcycled Fire Hose Does Triple Good.
Doggy tug-of-war just got better with this dog toy made of recycled fire hoses. Thoroughly cleaned and safe for playtime, each toy is made from fire hoses that were used to fight real fires and save lives. This awesome toy features a 15" center section that has been sewn down the middle to provide two bite sections for your pup as you play. The rope handles are tough and durable but soft and smooth to prevent injury to hands when being held during tug of war. The inner rubber lining is resistant to tearing or ripping, making them very durable. Each one comes with a tag to identify the specific fire department your piece of upcycled fire hose actually came from.
Available with black or multi-colored rope handles (one handle on each end).

WHAT DOES IT REPLACE?

BORING (BUT USEFUL) STUFF
Each tug of war toy is approximately 18″ x 4.5″ x 3″ and weighs about 1 pound.
Due to the recycled nature of the hose, toys may appear stained or discolored. Don't worry. All toys have been thoroughly cleaned in a pet and planet safe way.
Care: Rinse with clean water as needed. Dry on low heat if necessary or simply let air dry.
A note from the makers about chewing: The toss toy and tug of war toys are not recommended for chewing because they are made from a smaller diameter hose which holds less pressure. During our testing we found that they stood up well to most dogs, but could not withstand super chewers. In the interest of our customers and their satisfaction we suggest to only use the toys as intended. When the toss toys and tug of war toys are used as intended they will last many years. We actually still have the very first prototype we made for our chocolate lab to test and he still plays with it today (over 3 years later).
MATERIALS
The material on the hoses vary based upon the need of each fire department and the age of the hose. Most are a cotton blend on the exterior and synthetic rubber on the interior.

The idea of having something sturdy like fire hose and something that would otherwise be thrown away inspired us to make our own toys from used fire hose. Now, we make them for your pets, too.
For every 100ft of donated fire hose we are able to create 4 free toys to be donated to a shelter of the fire department's choosing Each of our toys help fund fire fighting and provide toys to local shelters. Our toys are made from real fire hose which fought fires and saved lives.
