    We love it when our makers are open to feedback. In this case, we asked Weslee Rose if they would sub out the poly mesh for an organic cotton mesh. To our delight, they did it! So same great sponge, only now with organic cotton mesh on one side. Not to worry, if you love the poly-sided sponge and don't want to change, we've got that too.

    Everything you want in a sponge: mildew resistance, hypoallergenic, and you can wash them in your dishwasher or washer. Let's not forget function—it works! One side is a mesh scrubby and the other, a soft, terry cloth. Plus, this little sponge proves being green doesn't mean giving up style. Choose your color, give it go. Before you get your hands wet, you may want to check out these gloves, too.  

    Note: Available with a purple, forest green or black terry back. Up to you.

    Disposable sponges that are mass-produced overseas and packaged in non-eco packaging.

    INGREDIENTS 
    Terry cloth cotton, organic cotton mesh, filling is hypoallergenic, mildew resistant and made from recycled poly materials. Note: We're working with Weslee Rose to find a better interior option.

    PACKAGING
    Small, recyclable paper wrap.

    SOURCING
    Made in the USA in Rochester, NY.

    END OF LIFE
    Remove recycled poly fill, compost the rest.

    Eco sponge

    So glad I found this sponge - works great, love that we can easily wash it and continue using. My husband even commented on the new sponge and said he felt it worked really well.

    So funny how important it is to have our partners 'buy in' to our eco lifestyle and the products we use. The struggle is real. So glad he likes it too. It's hard enough to change our habits, let alone our family's. Thanks for writing in to share.

    Delightful!

    Perfect Sponge

    These last a long time. They never get smelly even though we often forget to toss them in the laundry . My last one lasted for many months. This is much better value than grocery store sponges. They work well too.

    Never buying a "regular" sponge again

    You know how sponges get smelly after a while? NOT THESE! We use these sponges until they're literally falling apart (which takes ages - about 8x that of a "regular" sponge). And while we do throw them in the wash occasionally, they NEVER get smelly and gross, even before then. I don't know why, it might be magic. And somehow they actually WORK better than regular disposable sponges too. When their "dish duty" is finally over, we use them in the shed.
