    FYI: Food Huggers® give a snug seal on your leftover fruits and veggies and replace the missing skin or peel that has been cut away. There is a lot of variety across different fruits and veggies in terms of how long they last. Citrus fruits like lemons and limes can last for weeks while a tomato will not last as long. It can also depend somewhat on how ripe the fruit or veggie was when it was first “hugged”. As a result, we can’t give a single or exact time that works for everything but we are certain that you will get a lot of extra time to enjoy your fruits and vegetables when you store them in a Food Hugger®.

    The packaging we offer is 100% recycled kraft paper.


    SOURCE
    Responsibly manufactured in China... where 99.9% of all silicone produces are made. Here's a note from the company: Food Huggers® started in China because we had a good friend that we had worked with for many years and had a lot of experience in silicone. Starting a small company is a very daunting task and it gave us great comfort to be able to work with a friend who we knew would take care of our design, and give the best quality possible.  

    We have looked into the possibility of being Made in USA a few times. So far it has not been viable to produce in USA and keep the pricing affordable for our customers. The retail prices would have had to go WAY up. If you would like us to let you know when/if we are able to do Made in USA Food Huggers® please email us with the subject title “Made in USA” and we can add you to our list of customers who are interested. 

    Food Huggers was started in 2013 as a Kickstarter campaign launched by two industrial designer friends, Michelle Ivankovic and Adrienne McNicholas.
