LastPad Reusable Menstrual Pad

We’re always on the lookout for new products with big environmental impact, and this one feels like a home run. It’s no wonder one of the manufacturer’s (LastObject) core values is “Our products must have at least 10x real environmental impact vs. the traditional single use products they replace.”

LastPad does just that by letting you have an eco-friendlier period. You'll never need or want another disposable pad again. LastPad is a comfortable, soft, leakproof, and reusable menstrual pad. It stays in place, absorbs much more, and is free of chemicals and toxins. It comes with a discreet storage pouch for changing on the go. And, the best part is, everything — pad and pouch — are fully machine washable. So you can keep reusing it for the equivalent of about 250 single-use pads... which is also the equivalent of about 10 years. That’s a long PERIOD of time to prevent a lot of disposable product from entering landfills. Very cool. 

And, just like normal pads, this product comes in a range of flow sizes: Light, Day, and Night (basically Small, Medium, and Large). See sizing below.

As a secondary use, we also think this product is ideal for active females who experience any occasional "leak" of ANY kind. The ease of this pad as a washable, reusable absorbent pantyliner — in whatever kind of underwear you wear, doing whatever sport you do — is a total game changer.

A few tips from the manufacturer:

HOW TO USE
Use exactly the way you would a normal pad. Velcro tabs keep the pad secured in place in your underwear, and the silicone strip prevents any additional slipping. Depending on your flow, we recommend at least 3 pads a day. Use the leakproof storage pouch to wrap your used pad in until you're ready to wash it out.

One size doesn’t fit all. Choose between three sizes to find the best fit for you. The smallest pad (Light) is perfect for your days with lighter flow. The medium pad (Day) is a great everyday pad for when you’re working or doing sports. The large pad (Night) is for those days with heavy flow when you need all the protection you can get.

With every pad comes a practical pouch to carry it. You can store the pad in the pouch and bring it with you in case of unexpected surprises. After you’ve used the pad, the pouch comes in extra handy.

HOW TO WASH
LastPad and the pouch are 100% machine washable, but you can hand wash if you prefer. For machine washing, make sure the velcro on the underside of the LastPad is closed, place in a laundry bag and wash at cold temperature in the washing machine. Air dry. 

MATERIALS
Top layer: silky-soft, antibacterial polyester. This material helps reduce any odor-causing bacteria and fungi and keeps the integrity of the fabric intact. It is comfortable against the skin and will make sure your skin stays smooth and fresh.

Middle layer: a blend of polyester and bamboo. It helps transport moisture away from your skin, and holds the liquid over 2 times better than even the highest absorbing cotton.

Bottom layer: made of TPU so that you never again have to worry about any leaks. The material keeps the liquid inside.

NOTE: We understand polyester is a derivative of fossil fuels, however, we think the comfort and effectiveness of this pad outweigh the negative. If more people use these because they're more comfortable, absorbent and antimicrobial than cotton, that we have the opportunity to change the culture of period care.

Will LastPad create any odor?
The top layer is made of antibacterial polyester. This material helps reduce any odor-causing bacteria and fungi.

What do I do if the Velcro scratches my thighs?
Be sure to place the velcro precisely above each other or slightly apart so what sticks out is the soft side of the velcro.

How much fluid can LastPad hold?
The pads can hold the double amount of its single use equivalent. Small 8ml, Medium 12ml and Large 16ml.
