Kids Earth Day Story Time | April 19, 2024

All Ages Welcome! Join us at What's Good for a special in-person, story time reading by local author and retired Penfield school teacher, Lou Anne DaRin! Her recently published book, Mrs. Green Loves The Earth, will spark interest and foster ongoing discussions between you and your kids about the environment. It can also be used as a science lesson leading to a discussion of concepts such as composting, electric cars, native gardens, etc. and how they benefit the environment.

This event is ideal for homeschoolers K-4, but any age 3+ would enjoy it.

    April 19, 2024, 10:30 AM
Feel free to arrive early to poke around or just settle in.

Note: If we receive enough interest, we'll host a second reading outside of school hours.

Just add this event to your cart and check out. Or let us know you're coming the next time you pop into the shop. Please let us know in the notes how many will be attending.

PREORDER A SIGNED COPY OF "Mrs. Green Loves The Earth"
You have the option below of adding a signed copy of this paper back book to your RSVP to take home with you as a memory and to continue your green journey at home.

Lou Anne DaRin was an elementary teacher for 30 years. She taught in Westhill School District in New York, Uniondale School District on Long Island, and Penfield School District in upstate New York where she taught at Cobbles Elementary School. Most of her years of teaching were at the second and third grade levels. Lou Anne is currently active in a local environmental group called Color Penfield Green and her church’s environmental group, Mother Earth. She has a passion for the environment and shares that passion with the children in her life.

What's Good is hosting this event at our shop in Fairport Village Landing. Note to our friends across the nation: We're so sorry we can't meet each of you in person for this event.

This is an in-person event, so please join us only if you are well.
