ABOUT THE COMPANY
Smart Glass Jewelry began almost 23 years ago when its founder saw the beauty in an empty wine bottle and made her first pair of bottle glass earrings for a friend. Today Smart Glass is one of the nation's leading eco accessory brands with an entire line of fashion jewelry made from post-consumer bottles. Kathleen Plate has been working with recycled glass long before it was in fashion, and the studio techniques she developed are unmatched. She even has a patent on the raw material, she calls it, "My very expensive paper that proves I invented something". The company works with many large companies like Coca-Cola and Aveda, transforming their bottles into wearable art piece by piece. Join the fun - you won't believe how beautiful a beer bottle can be!
