This product is made in China, where the raw materials exist. It is Scrub Be Love's goal to move into domestic production, however we have yet to find the quality material and construction our current overseas manufacturer provides.

Dominique founded Scrub Be Love in early 2023 after becoming frustrated about how hard it was to find an eco-friendly sponge that worked as well as the plastic conventional sponges and was made of great quality plant-based material. She read an article about how over 400 million sponges are discarded on an annual basis in the US alone and would take centuries to break down. This sparked a passion in her to find a better way and Scrub Be Love was born.

Small daily shift towards sustainability can have a huge positive impact on the planet. It doesn’t have to be an overwhelming lifestyle change all at once, but manageable shifts can get the needle moving in the right direction. What better place to start than with your kitchen sponge?! Our sponges are made from coconut coir and wood pulp cellulose and are 100% biodegradable and compostable.
